5-METRE TELESCOPIC EXTENSION
The CST-MXE 5 LOWBED is equipped with a 5,000 mm telescopic platform extension.
In standard transport configuration, the loading platform measures 9,600 mm.
When fully extended, the loading platform reaches 14,600 mm and the total trailer length increases from 14,600 mm to 19,600 mm.
The extension operates in stages, allowing the trailer configuration to be adapted according to the dimensions and weight distribution of the cargo being transported.
STAGED TONNAGE CAPACITY
The extension system is designed around controlled payload stages according to the operating position of the telescopic platform.

AXLE CONFIGURATION AND MANOEUVRABILITY
The CST-MXE 5 uses five 12-tonne axles with air suspension.
Two axles are equipped with self-steering, providing improved manoeuvrability compared with a fully fixed five-axle configuration.
The self-steering system allows steering angles of up to 16°, helping reduce tyre scrub during cornering and improving the trailer's behaviour in tighter operating environments.
For a high-capacity five-axle trailer, this configuration provides an effective balance between axle-group stability, manoeuvrability and straightforward operation.
MECHANICAL PLATFORM WIDTH EXTENSION
The standard loading platform is 3,000 mm wide.
A mechanical side-extension system provides an additional 500 mm of total width.
With the mechanical extensions deployed, the usable loading width can increase to approximately 3,500 mm.
This provides additional support for wider tracked machinery, construction equipment and oversized loads without permanently increasing the basic platform width.
HYDRAULIC GOOSENECK
The CST-MXE 5 is equipped with a hydraulic gooseneck.
The coupling configuration supports 2-inch or 3.5-inch kingpin arrangements.
The hydraulic system provides operational control of the gooseneck configuration as part of the trailer's heavy-duty loading architecture.
REAR HYDRAULIC LOADING RAMPS
The trailer is equipped with hydraulic bi-fold rear loading ramps.
The ramp geometry provides an approximately 10° approach angle for machinery loading.
The hydraulic folding system allows the ramps to be deployed and returned to transport position efficiently, supporting regular loading of construction machinery, tracked equipment and other heavy plant.
